Vicki was born and raised in the west coast of Newfoundland in Gros Morne National Park Area – Norris Point. Vicki studied Chemical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada and has continued her learning as a practicing Professional Engineer.

Roles like paper maker with Corner Book Pulp and Paper, Newfoundland,  logging Road Designer with Western Forest Products, Vancouver Island, Pulp and Paper Process Control Engineering Intern- NewPage, Nova Scotia, Natural Gas Distribution Pipeline Designer, ATCO Gas, Alberta, and Process Control, Maintenance and Commissioning Engineer, TransCanada Keystone Pipeline, Alberta.

The learning and experience brought forward the entrepreneur in her co-founding Crux OCM in Alberta, Canada in 2017 and becoming the first CEO. Her mission is to solve the riddle of how to radically improve flow performance in large scale pipeline systems in energy across the globe. Using artificial intelligence and advanced process control.

Vicki and Crux OCM is as we speak one of 10 carefully selected startups in the global energy space. Selected to join the Techstars Energy accelerator program in 8 weeks of intense development and performance at Equinor Fornebu. Demo day being 5th December.. Vicki and her team -  together with 9 of the other most promising startups in the Energy sector, 150 mentors and companies like Techstars, Equinor, the Kongsberg Group and McKinsey & Company.
